Aston Villa continued their impressive start to the season under new manager Unai Emery with a dominant 6-1 victory over Brighton and Hove Albion at Villa Park on Saturday.
Ollie Watkins was the star of the show for Villa, scoring a hat-trick, while Leon Bailey, Danny Ings and John McGinn also got on the scoresheet.
The result moves Villa up to ninth in the Premier League table, while Brighton drop to 12th.
Villa took the lead in the 12th minute when Watkins tapped home from close range after a cross from Matty Cash.
Bailey doubled the lead just five minutes later with a stunning strike from outside the box.
Brighton pulled a goal back in the 25th minute through Neal Maupay, but Watkins restored Villa's two-goal advantage just before half-time.
Ings made it 4-1 in the 54th minute with a fine finish from inside the box, and McGinn added a fifth in the 67th minute with a header from a Bailey cross.
Watkins completed his hat-trick in the 84th minute with a cool finish after being played through by Ings.
The win was a perfect way for Villa to celebrate the 125th anniversary of their first FA Cup win.
