In a high-stakes video call on Tuesday, President Joe Biden warned President Vladimir Putin of Russia that the United States would impose "significant" sanctions on Russia if it invades Ukraine.
Biden said he made clear to Putin that there would be "severe consequences" for any military action against Ukraine, and that the United States was "prepared to respond decisively" to any such aggression.
