Rangers kept their title destiny in their own hands as they moved three points behind leaders Celtic with a 3-1 victory over 10-man Kilmarnock at Ibrox.




Alfredo Morelos scored his 20th goal of the season to draw Rangers level in the first half after Kilmarnock had taken a shock early lead through Eamonn Brophy. The visitors had Chris Burke sent off on the hour mark for a second booking as Rangers dominated, with James Tavernier firing them ahead before Jermain Defoe's strike sealed the win.

Steven Gerrard's side had swept all before them domestically until they lost 2-1 at Parkhead on 29 December and suffered a 0-0 draw at St Johnstone last week, handing the initiative to their Old Firm rivals.
